Bournemouth have enjoyed a solid first season under the guidance of Andoni Iraola and they have a chance to complete a first ever league double over Manchester United in the late Premier League game on Saturday.

The Cherries claimed a sensational 3-0 win at Old Trafford back in December but they are coming into the game on the back of a disappointing result, having seen a five-game unbeaten run ended at Luton last time out.

United will probably have one eye on next week’s FA Cup semi-final date with Championship outfit Coventry but their hopes of qualifying for Europe next season via the league are still alive. Erik Ten Hag’s men sit sixth, which, as it stands, would be good enough for a Europa Conference League spot.

Team news

Marcus Tavernier was on target for Bournemouth at Luton but will miss out this weekend after sustaining a thigh injury in that defeat.

Luis Sinisterra and Ryan Fredericks are also injury absentees, while Tyler Adams, Antoine Semenyo and Chris Mepham are all rated as doubts.

Manchester United have a host of injury issues in defence as Raphael Varane, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are all absent. That means that Willy Kambwala, 19, is set to continue in central defence alongside Harry Maguire.

Anthony Martial is also missing while Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford and Sofyan Amrabat are doubts.
